a fresh spring breeze

yesterday's weather sent that happy little jolt zipping through my veins for the first time in months.  i LOVE the end of winter.  cold is mine enemy.  i could go on and on, but it would just get boring.  and so, on to SPRING and it's dear friend SUMMER!!  hakuna matata darlings.  in keeping with this joy - Target is giving us a spring offering of a Calypso collab, hitting stores and online May 1.   as one of my rich inner lives involves me spending a long languid life on an exotic beach, this is perfect for me.  rather conveniently, i do have a honeymoon to go on... so i will be finding a number of these pieces extremely necessary.  it's a large range, (much like the Liberty line a few months back) with home goods, kids clothes and some great pieces for we ladies.  a lot of the items are silk and linen, so you're getting something worth your while - and at a price point topping out at $79, fear not the wallet strain!   sweet spring satisfaction.

oh i do desire you...

OH OH Dannijo!!!! as they say, different strokes for different folks… Vogue is the fashion lover’s bible.  period.  but not every single piece can rock every reader’s boat.  Candy Pratts Price put together a FAB list of her “most desirable accessories” which was like a dreamy walk through a visual candy store.  LOVE. however not all of the items would really work in my life.  with one exception - this AMAZING Dannijo ring.  this thing is all out BRILLS.  available in June and on my finger immediately thereafter.

Uniqlo and its magnetic pull

if you are anything like me, you may have suffered an overdose on the whole designer/high street collaboration thing. like any vice, at first you just can't get enough...and then it gets out of hand. such was the case with me and the myriad of collabs being hurled at us at a pace so rapid it was impossible to digest. i staggered away, dazed. after a moment to catch my breath, i have been roped back in. Uniqlo is doing three collaboration collections this spring and i must admit i'm feeling a little bit giddy about the Charlotte Ronson pieces. any piece that you look at and can immediately imagine spending an immense amount of time wearing is a must-buy in my book. also in my book is "be mindful of your budget miss thing" so with prices around $29.99 there really is no downside! the collection hits stores May 5. most likely i will hit the stores that day too.
