twinkle toes

maybe it's the holiday season - don't really know - but i seem to have sparkly things on the brain...  i've learned to just give in when these things happen, and roll with it.  the last few days (not shockingly) the mind has been locked firmly on footwear.  ah yes, the shoe.... and it's a fancy time of year, so why not wear a fancy type of shoe?  it's pretty much scientific logic really...  hardly a surprise, i'm drawn immediately to the blue Louboutins winking their twinkling eyes at me from Barneys...  damn my heart and its desires for the finer things!!!  but how happy would my feet be in these babies???   in a much less shocking to the system realm, these little golden Badgley Mischka darlings at Piperlime are doing their best to seduce me...  even a day as dreary as today is outside can be brightened up if you just look in the right direction - ie down at your twinkly toes!

LIVE baby!

they sent me cute pics from their pre-launch celeb-wing-ding, where the adorable Jamie Lynn Sigler picked up some goodies -- and let me know that now even us non-celeb superstars can get our hands on their goods!

boots mcgoots part deux

now, as i pointed out moments ago, i am in no rush for fall. i am, however, deep into fall research. or so it seems.

boots... i have one pair missing from the repetoire. a flat pair of black boots. i believe i elaborated on this point a while back, and posted a pair of boots i will certainly not stop lusting for... in an effort to balance out the playing field, i am continuing the hunt. it's only right. (seeing as i am self employed AND it's still about 100 degrees, i don't have to rush).

Piperlime, oh Piperlime... you share the love of shoes... and you share the love of these cute Chinese Laundry boots... snap em up or snap em down... kind of freakin adorable... i have seen them in no less than 4 magazines this month, so clearly they are trying to get my attention....

in the category of "things i am obsessed with" - shoes is in the top 3. and in the realm of "best places online to find the best things i am obsessed with" - we find the website Piperlime. if you have perused this site, you will see it listed as one of my favorite sites. i visit regularly, even if i'm not in the market to buy, just to look at pretty shoes. this place is what one might call a goldmine. it has a great variety of designers, and an equally great variety in price range. love, love, love.

so imagine the flutter in the heart of your friend, the-e-stylist, when she found the news that Piperlime will be branching out into selling clothes. i think i may have drooled a little. coming soon - i believe round about the beginning of September - the door will fling open to a whole new world. ok maybe that's exaggerating a tiny bit - but it is pretty great. so check it out... i will!

oh, hello!

i had to have a little nasty round of NINE shots into my back yesterday. not fun AT ALL - but that is not what's on the table here, so i shall not stray. after said procedure, my caring bf accompanied me to the pharmacy (thank god - i was more than slightly left of center from the anesthetic) as we were waiting on line, i looked down and saw my shoes. god i love shoes. god i love THESE shoes. i got them last year - and they have remained one of my almost every day, go with almost everything staples. i. love. these. shoes.they're made by Matt Bernson. they do sell on the site, and there's also a selection at Piperlime (by the by - an awesome website for shoe freaks like myself)

after initially seeing them on Nicky Hilton in a magazine and doing my usual hunt it down!!! thing, i purchased the shoes with happiness in my shoe-heart. the shoes are really well made, and all in all, just pretty perfect. i am completely obsessed with them. i also found on my hunt these lovelies and another pair that are no longer made... so i guess it's true that good things do come in 3's... although i may break down and buy another pair this year. so maybe good things just come.
