sleeping beauty

i used to have to fly a lot for work. a LOT. at the time, i was totes into it. i like hotels (sometimes i actually miss hotel stays) and i like exploring new places. was not in love with the flying part, but ya can't get there from here without doin' that...

on some of the longer flights, and in the hotels, it was hard (but wildly necessary) to sleep. and thus i developed my habit of wearing a sleep mask. started off slowly, with the ones they give you on overnight flights to Europe. it's nice of them - but the masks are crap. i bought a couple here and there, but there was always something not quite right. itchy tag, not great material, awful strap, you name it. and then, once upon a time, on a trip to LA, like the little bear in the story, i found one that was juuuuuuuuust right. lovely silk mask with a comfy cotton liner, and a perfectly comfortable strap - not too tight, not too loose. you will sleep like the fairy tale princess with one of these bad boys on.

who makes these? where can i get my hands on one? you might ask. and i shall answer! i found my Chris Notti eye mask at Larchmont Beauty in LA. if you are not there at the moment - fear not! the interwebs has kindly granted us access once more to things far away. there is quite the deliriously lovely selection of prints on the site. bring on the sweet dreams!!!
